At the initial student meeting stage, which has recently taken place, we review the courses selected on the student’s application, assess their suitability, and confirm the courses that are added to the Offer list.

At application stage, courses are organised into blocks A–E, and we regularly report on course numbers using this structure. However, following the meeting stage, once courses are added to the Offer list, the block structure is no longer available. As a result, when we export offer data to analyse course numbers for staffing purposes, we are unable to obtain this information, as the courses are no longer organised by block within the Offer list.

This data analysis is vital for our planning. Previously, we were advised to manually change all students’ application courses to match their offered courses and to raise this as an Feature request for future consideration by the Applicaa team. I followed this process last year; however, no updates appear to have been made, and no further guidance has been provided on a more effective approach.

As you can imagine, manually updating every student’s application courses to match their offered course is a substantial task to undertake each year and carries a significant risk of human error. I would therefore appreciate advice on whether there is a better way of working.
